Dear Arizona NORML and cannabis activist community,
Arizona NORML is conducting talks with Arizona state legislators, advocacy groups, issues experts and industry leaders to correct problems within the AMMA, the state medical marijuana act, which has created problems for medical card patients, the industry, and the general public alike. In five years of working on cannabis reform at the state capitol, this is our best chance yet to positively shape cannabis laws. We are partnering in the effort with a bipartisan group of state legislators and industry leaders to keep the patient and consumer in the discussions.

Our chief reform target is cannabis product testing in the industry. Also AZ-NORML is joining in the push to add autism as a qualifying condition. We are asking your support and participation in the process. Remember: if you do not add your voice to the discussion, it will not be heard. Reforming the AMMA is far too important of an issue to sit on the sidelines. Get active. Be the voice.

If you have suggestions, expertise or experiences dealing with cannabis testing or cannabis and autism, please step forward and aid the effort. You can:
1. Send me an email with suggestions or links to important info.
2. Write an article for our website about your experience or suggestion.
3. Write an email to your state legislators about the issue.
4. Attend legislative discussions on the legislation during the drafting process.
5. Attend/testify at a hearing on bill after it is filed.
6. Promote the effort through your social media.
7. Promote the effort through hosting or helping organize an awareness event.
8. Offer your assistance to other organizations working on the issue to strengthen the coalition.

If you have suggestions or expertise on other proposals we should be considering, you can send me an email with suggestions or links to important info (mikelweisser@gmail.com). I also, of course, recommend becoming a working volunteer member of AZ-NORML today.
