Police announced that Sandra Bland, a Black Lives Matter activist, had THC coursing through her system when her lifeless body was found hanging in her Texas jail cell; meanwhile, the CDC (Center for Disease Control And Prevention) is looking to demonize marijuana edibles in the case of a teen that took a leap of faith from a Denver hotel balcony in 2014.

Texas Cops & THC
According to an online report, the autopsy meant to determine Sandra Bland’s cause of death after being incarcerated for a simple traffic violation, also provided the Texas cops with their usual scapegoat for an unexplained death of a detainee in police custody – THC.
By overlooking the simple fact that THC metabolites can easily be identified weeks after consumption, officials involved in the investigation are looking to perform additional tests to try and isolate when, where, and how much pot Bland consumed before she was found hanging in her cell. Rather than investigating any potential rogue cops with a serious attitude problem, Sheriff Glenn Smith of Walter County, who operates the Texas jail where Sandra Bland was found deceased, focused his search of her cell for trace amounts of marijuana. Though Sheriff Smith found nothing to support his hasty assumption, that didn’t stop him from doubling down on his far-fetched assertion that marijuana, not bad cops, was to blame:
