We’ll be recognizing 4/20 a little early this week as we meet to discuss several bits of marijuana news. Nationally, we have well over 1500 bills being filed throughout the country relating to marijuana.

-New efforts in U.S. Senate with goals of taxing and regulating marijuana. This move would remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act. Email your federal elected officials today to show your support for this move or you may click here to use NORML’s pre-written letter.

-Public support for marijuana form is at an all time high. This tremendous growth has caused the need for the first-ever Congressional Cannabis Caucus to form and promote sensible cannabis policy reform and work to ease the tension between federal and state cannabis laws. Urge your reps to join the caucus by emailing them directly or click here to use NORML’s pre-written letter. 

-Locally, a new bill is underway regarding the mandatory testing of marijuana products in Arizona. We’ll be discussing this effort in more detail at this Tuesday’s meeting.
